Restore points are generated when you install a new app, driver, or Windows update and when you create a restore point manually. This option takes your Surface back to an earlier point in time, called a system restore point. Your Surface won't start, and you've created a recovery drive. Or, you tried a restore and it didnвЂ™t solve your problem. Your Surface isnвЂ™t working well, and itвЂ™s been a while since you installed anything new.
